The Morgan Residence was a somewhat difficult and heavily wooded site with a slope that made for a challenging pool layout. However, as is often the case, the more difficult sites often lead to the most unique and successful designs. The open three circle pool and spa create a lagoon feel within the naturally wooded site, and emphasize the filtered views to the lake just beyond.

The interior stone pool chair lounge serves as a 'pool within a pool' to create interest within the open pool design, while providing an alternative depth to enjoy water play. With the sloping site (below) we dropped the deep end pool patio to below the pool depth, creating a raised pool seatwall for interest and keeping the required retaining walls to a minimum.

| The low stone veneer retaining walls help to transition the natural grade, and provide a comfortable sitting space against the pool deck. Flagstone patio bands and steps match the stone pool coping and radiate the stone materials throughout the design, creating a polished finish effect. The raised gunite spa caps the shallow patio end and provides an additional spillover into the pool. |
